Soy uno de los afortunados ganadores seleccionados para el libro tributo a Mega Man de Udon. ¡Estoy feliz de aparecer ahí junto a muchos, muy buenos artistas! A los diez años nadie necesita más que un cañon X-Buster y ocho mavericks para no hacer la tarea.

Got chosen for the Mega Man Tribute art book from Udon. I'm happy to be there with so many great talented artists! I wish God would take the names in the book, pick us all up with his space craft and drop us into sanctity just because he likes it better than the Bible.

La tres veces heroica Abeja Bomba sucumbió en la batalla para ganar el concurso de dibujo y diseño de mascota para la T.N.T. 12. Se sabe que lucho hasta llegar a las finales, pero desapareció en acción y a la fecha se desconoce su paradero.

A runaway mascot. This guy abandoned the beehive and waged war for the big prize on the mascot design contest for the comic-manga convention T.N.T. 12. However, despite his good temper and spicy jokes, he only made it to the finals. No corpse was ever found...

Cuenta la leyenda que una creatura será elegida por los dioses para ser la mascota de la Federación Nacional de Ajedrez. Aquí en Espadas y Colmillos no sabemos que creatura será, pero sí sabemos que este simpático perrito no lo fue.

Legend says that a creature will be chosen by the gods to become the mascot of the National Chess Federation (Mexico). We here in Fangs & Blades have no clue of which creature it could be whatsoever, all we know is this nice little dog was not the one.

El Samurai Skato fue creado durante una noche de tormenta cuando un rayo azotó la plancha en mi laboratorio. “¡Vive!” -grité eufórico- y con su ayuda gané el primer lugar en el concurso de dibujo para la mascota de la convención manga-cómic T.N.T. 3.

This fella was created on a stormy night when the lightning struck the slab on my laboratory. "¡It's alive!" -I cheered ecstatic- and with him on my side, I won the first place in the mascot design contest of the manga-comic convention T. N. T. 3.

There's not much to write about this one. It was my attempt to win an illustration contest. I was far from winning, but as a contestant, I got to enter the event for free... Not that I would have missed anything if I had stayed home.

El Mach 5

Cuando en el jardín de niños se me ocurrió llevar carritos para jugar, mi favorito, una replica miniatura de un AMC Gremlin anaranjado, fue aplastado por un pie (de seguro dicho apéndice pertenecía a alguien muy inteligente). Bueno, si amé a un AMC Gremlin, ¿cómo no amar al Mach 5?

The Mach 5 sure was impressive. But its really amazing feature shows up when, among all those gadgets, you can't find a can holder. The main image was redrawn from a 3D model found on the Internet with a very low resolution.

Primal Rage

Ustedes los humanos no entendieron que este videojuego irradiaba poder del más puro. Estas creaturas eran monstruos gigantes y dioses encarnados que peleaban por territorio en nuestro planeta después de un cataclismo de extinción masiva.

Primal Rage was pure hardcore!!! It's definetely one for my wishlist of good old videogame franchises that should make their comeback on the new generation consoles. So God, if you are reading this, please make my HD, pure hardcore dream come true.

Los Dinoplatívolos

Creo que tenía seis años cuando los vi por primera vez y casi me oriné de la emoción. ¿A quién le importaban los chistes idiotas y la cuestionable calidad de animación? Eran dinosaurios, "fielmente" basados en especies que alguien saco de la tierra y puso en un museo. Y por Dios que eran malos, pero eran dinosaurios.

The villains were the best and the worst part of this show. How cool can a red, anthropomorphic, plentifully balled, talking/scolding Tyrannosaurus Rex get? Not much if he's an idiot surrounded by a bunch of dim witted, frustrated dinosaurs. Long live the Tyrannos!!!

Final Fantasy VII

El séptimo de la serie, Final Fantasy VII me mal acostumbró a los RPGs y también a jugar hasta tan tarde que ya era temprano. Su incoherente estética y sus mediocres modelados en 3D no fueron suficiente para hacerme dejar de jugarlo hasta el final. Con todo y sus defectos es de mis favoritos.

Final Fantasy VII was not the perfect game, but it was the perfect Final Fantasy. Such well developed, deeply profiled characters are hard to come by... like the huge chunks of time I used to have and invested on playing it until sunrise.

El lobo (Canis lupus) es un mamífero que rockea en el orden de los Carnívora. Comparte ancestros con el perro doméstico, por lo que seguramente se ven cada domingo en casa de los abuelos para cotorrear. En antaño fueron abundantes, pero gracias a una bola de pinches ojetes las especies están actualmente amenazadas.

As Jules Winnfield would say "... dogs got personality, personality goes a long way." But when it comes to wolves there's much more than that. In any of their shapes and sizes, wolves are jam-packed with all the charm only apex predators can brandish.
